Safety first

To maintain a safe environment for all caretakers and pets, each dog must pass a personality assessment test prior to being introduced into playgroup. We check for any signs of toy aggression, treat aggression, and general demeanor around other dogs.

How to join

Requirements

Even if your pet has participated in a playgroup setting outside of Newport Center Animal Hospital, he or she will still need to be assessed in order to join. Appointments are required, so please call us to schedule as assessment.Once your pet is assessed and becomes a member of playgroup, you do not need a reservation to bring him or her. Just drop your pet off during playgroup hours and take comfort knowing he or she is in a safe environment having tons of fun!

Some pets we have boarded in the past include:

  • Spayed or Neutered (6+ months old)
  • Current with Rabies Vaccine
  • Current with DAP Vaccine
  • Current with a 6 month Bordetella Vaccine
  • Current with Annual Fecal and Giardia Test
